Baptism

1. What is Baptism?
Baptism is the next step in your spiritual walk if you have made the decision to follow Jesus. Jesus called it your first step of obedience and an outward expression of your inward commitment to God.
2. Why should I be Baptized?
Water baptism is commanded by the Lord Jesus Christ for any person who has made a decision to be His follower (Matthew 28:19).
Every born again believer needs to obey the Lord’s command and be water baptized through full immersion. The biblical prerequisite for water baptism is that you believe in Christ with all your heart and confess Him as Lord of your life (Acts 8:35-38).
3. Who should be Baptized?
Every person who believes in Jesus Christ. Baptism is your public testimony that you are a follower of Jesus. (Romans 6:1-6)
4. When should I be Baptized?
There is no reason to delay. As soon as you have decided to receive Christ into your life, you can and should be baptized. If you wait until you are "perfect", you will never feel "good enough!”
5. What do I wear?
Dark clothing for top and bottom (swim trunks are fine for men) that you don’t mind getting wet. Towels will be provided by the church.
6. Can I invite Family and Friends?
Yes, definitely! We would love to have them share in your special day!
